Who are we?

Songa Labs is a sole proprietorship in formation, run behind the scenes by me, Siebe. You can reach me at siebe@songalabs.nl for any questions about your data.

What data do we collect?

When you sign up for the waitlist, we ask for:

• Your first name and last name (so we can address you personally)
• Your email address (to keep you updated)

We also automatically collect technical data to personalize your experience:

• Language preferences: Your browser language settings and chosen website language
• Location data: Your country (derived from IP address) to provide region-appropriate content
• Technical information: Timezone, device type, and user behavior on our website

Legal basis: We process this data based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to provide personalized and relevant communications.

How do we use your data?

We use your personal data to:

• Send you updates about the launch of Lamba
• Send you personalized emails about development progress
• Invite you to create an account or access the app after launch
• Personalize communications: Send emails in your preferred language (Dutch/English) based on our AI language detection
• Improve user experience: Automatically show you the most relevant language version of our website

You can always unsubscribe or request deletion by sending an email to siebe@songalabs.nl.

Where do we store your data?

Your data is stored in a secure Notion database. Notion is a US-based company that complies with the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, ensuring your data is processed outside the EU in a secure and legally valid manner.

Third-party services we use:

• ipapi.co: For location detection (country only, IP addresses are not stored)
• n8n.lamba.world: For processing form submissions securely
• Notion: For secure data storage (compliant with EU-US Data Privacy Framework)

Google Analytics & Tracking

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization. This allows us to see how many people visit the page and where they drop off, without knowing exactly who you are. Google processes this data in the US but also follows the Data Privacy Framework.

Additional tracking for personalization:

• Form interaction analytics (when you start filling out the form)
• Scroll depth tracking (how far you read on the page)
• Language preference analytics (to improve our detection algorithm)

Data retention

We keep your data:

• As long as the waitlist is running
• Or as long as you continue to show interest in updates about Lamba

If you unsubscribe or the waitlist closes, we delete your data within 30 days.

Technical data retention: Language and location intelligence data is only stored temporarily during your session and permanently with your explicit form submission.

Your rights

You always have the right to:

• View your data (access)
• Have it corrected or deleted (rectification/erasure)
• Object to processing or restrict processing
• Data portability (receive your data in a structured format)
• Withdraw consent at any time

Security

We take appropriate measures to protect your data. The website runs on Vercel with HTTPS security. Only I have access to the Notion database where the data is stored, through a secure login.

Security measures for AI language detection:

• IP addresses are only used for country detection and never stored
• Language detection data is encrypted during transmission
• All API calls use secure HTTPS connections
